TPE-3150 is a warp-knitted chainsaw-protective fabric specifically designed for logging operations. It is woven from a composite blend of Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and polyester, featuring a weight of 150 g/m² (±10 g), a width of 51/52 inches, and a white finish; it serves as a core material for logging protective gear.
The fabric utilizes high-strength UHMWPE fibers as its primary protective element, complemented by polyester to enhance structural stability and weave integrity. The warp-knitting process ensures a dense arrangement of fibers and uniform load distribution, resulting in exceptional tear and puncture resistance. Its core mechanism for chainsaw protection operates as follows: when a high-speed chainsaw contacts the fabric, the UHMWPE fibers-leveraging their ultra-high specific strength-form a tough, resilient barrier that rapidly disperses the cutting impact. Simultaneously, the fibers are instantly drawn out and become entangled within the chainsaw's sprocket and guide bar groove, thereby forcibly decelerating and braking the chain to prevent penetration and injury to the wearer. When used in multi-layered configurations, the material meets the requirements of international chainsaw protection standards-such as EN381-providing reliable leg and limb protection for logging professionals.
This fabric is lightweight and non-bulky; at 150 g/m², it strikes an optimal balance between protective efficacy and wearer mobility.
