Test Standard & Test Result（EU Standard--EN ISO11393/EN 381）
EN381 is an European standard applicable to chainsaw workwear(EN381-5) and glove(EN381-7). EN ISO 11393 is the updated standard, which is as same as EN381 in chainsaw testing. The samples are tested by a moving chainsaw at the different speeds, and when the chainsaw is blocked by the samples and stop, the chainsaw speed is recorded and classified to different chainsaw proof level (that is, test result) as below. The standard requirement for the chainsaw protection in each class is that the chain has stopped and should not have damaged the innermost fabric layer.

The test is done at a 45-degree angle on the pants leg. With the higher class, the material can stand a higher chain speed , it also means chainsaw protection is better. From the aboved table, Level 3 is the highest level. Currently Level 1 and Level 2 is the most common choice required by the customer.
